Dr. Guorong Wu

Guorong Wu received the Ph.D. degree in computer science and engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychiatry and Computer Science, The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, as an Assistant Professor. He has published more than 200 papers in international journals and conference proceedings. His research interests focus on fast and robust analysis of large population data, computer assisted diagnosis, and image guided radiation therapy. In 2016, he received the Independent Career Award from NIH for the contribution on non-invasive neurobiological basis for early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. He won the best paper award in MICCAI 2017. Dr. Wu is the associate editor for Neuroinformatics, Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease since 2019.
