Dr. Harriet Kemp

Dr Harriet Kemp is an NIHR Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London. She works clinically as an anaesthetist and in the pain service. In 2019 she completed a PhD examining clinical phenotypes associated with neuropathic pain in people living with HIV which involved exploring patient reported outcome measures, quantitative sensory testing and conditioned pain modulation. She has since been awarded funding to identify mechanisms involved in neuroapthic pain associated with both HTLV-1 infection (via the British Pain Society) and critical illness (via the Academy of Medical Sciences) and continues to explore barriers to effective acute pain management in the critical care environment.
