Dr. Jennifer A. Rabbitts
Dr. Jennifer Rabbitts is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, USA. She received her medical degree from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, and completed her postdoctoral clinical and research training at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, USA. She practices as a pediatric anesthesiologist and pain physician at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Rabbitts’ research program is funded by the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases, the Office for Disease Prevention, Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, and the Help End Addiction Long-term (HEAL) Initiative at the National Institutes of Health. Her research focuses on identifying mechanisms underlying acute to chronic pain transition, and development and testing of treatments to enhance recovery and improve long-term pain and health outcomes in adolescents undergoing major surgery.
