Dr. Meredith J. Craigie

A/Prof Meredith Craigie is a specialist pain medicine physician at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and clinical associate professor at the University of Adelaide in Adelaide, South Australia.
Meredith trained as a paediatric anaesthetist and developed an interest in pain management looking after children with burn injury. She became a fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine (FPM) in 2002, joined the Board in 2012 and was Dean from 2018 to 2020. She has held many roles in the faculty including the clinical lead for the FPM Pain Management Health Practitioner Education Strategy funded by the Australian Government.
Meredith’s interests include medical education, pain in childhood, persistent pelvic pain and transition from acute to chronic pain. In 2017, she was the recipient of the inaugural Steuart Henderson Award from the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists for her contributions to medical education in the fields of anaesthesia and pain medicine.
