Thiago Cunha got his PhD in Pharmacology at University of Sao Paulo under the supervision of Prof. Sergio Ferreira. Currently, he is Associate Professor of the same Department. He did a sabbatical period in the Department of Immunology Harvard Medical School. His lab is manly focused on neurobiology of chronic pain, especially in the mechanisms by which immune and glia cells participate in this process. He has been nominated to receive the 2020 Patrick D. Wall Young Investigator Award for Basic Science awarded by IASP
