Gabrielle Pagé is an assistant professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine and in the Department of Psychology at the Université de Montréal. She is a Junior 1 Research Scholar from the Fonds de recherche du Québec en santé. She is also working as a psychologist at the Alan Edwards Pain Management Unit of the Montreal General Hospital.
Her current work explores (1) the bidirectional associations between stress and pain, (2) the trajectories of pain and of opioid consumption, and (3) the impact of comorbid physical and mental health conditions on chronic pain progression and treatment response. She is also involved in the development of innovative, personalized digital interventions for the optimal management of acute pain and opioid consumption.
She has published 74 peer-reviewed articles and has given multiple local, national and international presentations. She is a member of the IASP Task Force about Back Pain.
