Lars Bendtsen is Associate Professor at the Department of Neurology and Danish Headache Center, Rigshospitalet Glostrup, University of Copenhagen. He is co-director of The Danish Headache Centre.

Dr. Bendtsen is highly involved in the clinical management of migraine, other headaches, and facial pain. Dr. Bendtsen has actively been involved in headache research since 1991 and has authored numerous papers. His main research interests include clinical aspects and treatment of migraine and headache in general and more specifically the pathophysiology and management of trigeminal neuralgia and medication overuse headache. Dr. Bendtsen has been chairman and first author on several European and national guidelines on the treatment of migraine, other headaches, and facial pain.
