Using Evidence from Registers to Improve Outcomes for People with Chronic Pain

This talk will provide examples of clinical and research questions which pain registers have addressed, with a particular emphasis on the Quebec Pain Registry. These will include issues of epidemiology, effectiveness and safety. It will address the issue of what are the characteristic features of a disease register and some of the issues to address in choosing the design.
