Dr. Matthew C. Evans

Matthew Evans is a Neurology Clinical Lecturer with a research background in pre-clinical and clinical MR imaging in a variety of central and peripheral nervous system disorders. He is a Neurology registrar in Northwest London, developing a clinical interest in peripheral nervous system diseases, particularly painful neuropathies. He is currently employed on PAINSTORM, a collaboration of pain researchers in several UK Universities, aimed at deeply phenotyping people living with painful peripheral neuropathies. As part of this work, he is developing peripheral MRI biomarkers, using high field (7 Tesla) MRI in diabetic, HIV and chemotherapy induced neuropathies.
