Dr. Yenisel Cruz-Almeida

MSPH, PhD

Yenisel is an epidemiologist and neuroscientist performing chronic pain research for the last 19 years. Her more recent work has focused on examining the neurobiological underpinnings at the intersection of pain and biological aging processes. She is currently a tenured Associate Professor at the University of Florida in the Department of Community Dentistry and Behavioral Sciences, Epidemiology and Neuroscience. Dr Cruz-Almeida also serves as the Associate Director of the University of Florida Pain Research & Intervention Center of Excellence.
