Been guest professor in Japan, Sweden, Italy, Switzerland, and USA.
Has served on the council of the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP), co-head of the IASP Global Year Against Musculoskeletal Pain 2010, co-head of the IASP Global Year Against Joint Pain 2016, co-founder of IASP’s Special Interest Group (SIG) on Musculoskeletal Pain, head of the IASP Grant Committee, Editor-in-Chief of IASP Press, co-chair COVID-19 task force, cio-chair the cannabis analgesia ask force.
President-Elect of IASP, IASP president from 2018-2020, and serve as IASP immediate past-president from 2020-2022.
Received more than 20 national and international honors and awards. Provided 2 key-note lectures at the IASP world congresses.
