Professor David Yarnitsky

David Yarnitsky is a clinical Neurologist and pain researcher. He is cserving as Chair of the department of Neurology at Rambam Medical Center, and Professor and Head of the Clinical Neyurophysiiology lab at the Technion Faculty of Medicine. Since 2016 he is the Editor in chief of IASP open access journal “PAIN Reports”. He has trained in neutopathic pain under Prof Jose Ochoa in Portland, OR, and spent sabatticals at Harvard, Rutgers and Jefferson universities in the US.. His research focuses on psychophysics, neurophysiology and modulation. of pain, in healthy subjects and mainly in pain patients. He has coined the term “conditioned pain modulation” and published substantially on this issue.
