Dr. Gregory Dussor is Professor and Chair of the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Texas at Dallas. The focus of his laboratory is the understanding of the pathophysiology of chronic headache disorders such as migraine. His work focuses on mechanisms of activation and sensitization of peripheral nociceptors innervating the cranial meninges with a goal of understanding how these neurons contribute to the pain phase of migraine attacks. Greg has published over 100 peer-reviewed research articles, he is on the editorial boards of Pain, Pain Reports, Molecular Pain, the Journal of Headache and Pain, the Journal of Neuroscience, and he is a member of the advisory boards of the Migraine Research Foundation and the Association of Migraine Disorder’s new Migraine Science Collaborative.
