Jianguo Cheng, MD, PhD, Professor of Anesthesiology and Director of the Cleveland Clinic Multidisciplinary Pain Medicine Fellowship Program, is recognized as an expert in pain medicine by Best Doctors in America, Top Doctors, and 70 Best Pain Management Physicians in the U.S. His research has been supported by the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Defense. He has published more than 260 articles and edited three textbooks. He is member the National Academy of Medicine Action Collaborative of Countering the Opioid Epidemic, Department of Health and Human Services Pain Management Inter-Agency Task Force, and National Institutes of Health Study Sections/grant review committees/Data and Safety Monitoring Board. He is Past President of American Academy of Pain Medicine and Chair of the U.S. Section of World Institute of Pain and has played active leadership roles in the Association of University Anesthesiologists, American Board of Anesthesiology, and American Society of Anesthesiologists.
