Nadine ATTAL, MD, PhD, Neurologist, professor of therapeutics and pain medicine in Paris Saclay University, is responsible for the pain Center of Ambroise Paré hospital (Boulogne, France) and co-director of the U987 INSERM research Unit (dir Didier Bouhassira). She has played a leading role in translational research in neuropathic pain, with the development with D.Bouhassira of the worldwide used DN4 and NPSI questionnaires, the coordination of therapeutic studies and international guidelines. She has published >160 papers in journals such as Lancet Neurol, Ann Neurol, Neurology, Brain, Pain (H index 64), has coordinated > 150 workshops or teaching courses and given plenaries at the IASP, NeuPSIG (Ed. Charlton lecture) and Irish Congress of Anesthesiology (Rynd lecture). She is Editor for BJA and Pain Report, member of the IASP Council, “chevalier de la légion d’honneur” and has received prizes from French “Académie des Sciences” and Irish Society of Anesthesiologists (Rynd Award).
