Professor Ru-Rong Ji

PhD

Dr. Ji is professor of Anesthesiology, Neurobiology, and Cell Biology of Duke University Health Center. He is also Director of the Center for Translational Pain Medicine. He serves at Editorial Boards of “Pain”, “Anesthesiology”, “Journal of Neuroscience”, and “Neuroscience Bulletin”. He has published over 200 papers in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Ji has been listed as highly cited investigators by Clarivate/SCI in last 4 years.

Dr. Ji is a recognized leader in studying pain regulation by inflammation and non-neuronal cells. His group has also demonstrated powerful analgesic actions of specialized pro-resolving mediators (SPMs, such as resolvins and protectins) in the control of pathological pain.
