Professor Zubaidah Jamil Osman

DPsych (Clinical)

Dr. Osman is a Professor of Clinical Psychology at the International Medical School, Management and Science University, Malaysia. She obtained her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Melbourne, Australia. She is a committee member of ASEAPS (Association of Southeast Asian Pain Societies) and has been actively involved in pain education and training in this region. She also maintains her long-standing (part-time) role as the lead clinical psychologist at the multidisciplinary pain management service at Hospital Selayang with Dr. Cardosa. Their self-management program is called MENANG and has been run at their hospital since 2004. This program has provided training for health care providers from many health disciplines and Dr. Osman and Dr. Cardosa have played leading roles in the region in promoting interdisciplinary ways of working with patients with chronic pain conditions.
