Robert Bonin

PhD

Dr. Robert Bonin is an Associate Professor in the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto, the co-director of the University of Toronto Centre for the Study of Pain, and holds the Canada Research Chair in Sensory Plasticity. His research examines how acute and chronic pain affects animals’ natural behaviour, their engagement with the environment, and their responses to sensory stimuli. He further examine the mechanisms by which nociception induces nervous system plasticity, and engages these processes to reverse central changes underlying chronic pain.
