Scott W. Powers, PhD, is a pediatric psychologist and Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. At Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, he is a member of the Division of Behavioral Medicine and Clinical Psychology, a CCRF Endowed Chair, and Co-Director of the Headache Center. Dr. Powers focuses on pharmacological, cognitive behavioral, and mind and body interventions for youth with migraine. As a clinician and clinical supervisor, he has provided behavioral interventions to patients and taught residents/fellows for over 30 years. As an investigator, he has been supported by the NIH since 1996. Dr. Powers has over 200 publications, including trials in Headache, the New England Journal of Medicine, and JAMA. He engages in team science and active mentorship. Dr. Powers has been the Program Director for an NIH T32 postdoctoral training grant since 2003 and is currently the Co-Director of the Psychology Fellowship Program at CCHMC.
